Give it up for Samara Weaving’s amazing performance in this gory, clever class parable! This is such a fun horror movie, it’s easy to miss how clever the construction is. From an expert cast of supporting actors (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Mark O’Brian, Andy MacDowell) to impeccable costume design, everything in this movie works together to build tension, serve the overarching themes, and create an awesome payoff at the end. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are now working on the next Scream movie (due out 2022), and I’m excited to see what they do!
